my arms are hurting. i've been carrying stuff here and there and its hurting. like during the camp meeting last year.
i stepped into bookbinders today.
made my third purchase.
first was gie.
second was a blue book for a nice friend.
third, no more money for books, bought two sheets of green paper.
and so ends my excursion to bookbinders.
my first time in the ngee ann city one.
i hunger for..some meatballs.
i was at the meatball place, ie, ikea to get some clips cos frames are too costly. but i ate three siew pais prior to that so i decided that i am too fat for meatballs. i dont like meals alone anyway.
remember i said,
getting by tomorrow seems tough., i got by.
two big tip for you reading.
1. count on God's grace. know His powers.
2. cancel tuition. it works every every every time.
hahaa.
aunty karfoon called this morn. she's one of the few i told i had an interview. i told ernest cos he was
checking on my progress. i do that to him sometimes, he does that to me sometimes too. we are trying really hard to get the cell group thing to work, i think. she called to check on me too. i am glad i woke up early enough to reply her sms. we talked alot on the phone. for twenty two minutes. frankly speaking, i am not very sure if i have free incoming, i will just say yes. frankly speaking, not many people call me too, so i can afford it. she called to prepare me for the interview and to talk to me for which i am so thankful. very thankful.
i sprayed almost half the can of hair spray. put on my sweet smelling perfume. had my lao cok cok watch on my wrist, the one that i loved so much. its with me for almost seven years. wore my fav black shirt, my comfy but hot grey pants, they arent short, like terence's. and my red shoes. i really thought i looked pretty decent. if i wore that to school, they might ask - going for wedding dinner ah. but when i reached the interview place, the people there dressed in shirt and jacket and shirt and cok cok shoes. not lao cok cok shoes. haha. oh man, how bad my squeaky shoes must have looked in the place.
ben - i got something for ya. (: hope you will like it!
i met huimin for dinner. THANK YOU FOR THE LOVELY DINNER. she's wonderful! talking to her gives lots of hope, she provided opportunities and advice and all sort of good things. i am excited for church again, i see things happening. i need to work. and i am so excited about some stuff.
as excited as i am for Thaddaeus.
Thaddaeus, Thaddaeus, Thaddaeus*hehee.
theres some more stuff. but i forgot.
thanks angelene (;
ohohohohoh.
does anyone knows whens the charity screening of Mr Bertrand Lee's film.
tell me.
i didnt go for the Royston Tan's showcase cos i am pretty broke now.
if money's the reason why a man cant stand, then lets do what we can. its not as if we are throwing money at him because he doesnt want to work, its because for the time being, he cant. SUPPORT LOCAL FILMS. SUPPORT LOCAL DESIGN. SUPPORT LOCAL THEATRE. SUPPORT STRUGGLING ARTISTS - ie, ME! forgot the me part. really - local films, i dont really like to think the direction of jack neo, but local films really need support. local music, local brands all require us to appreciate. i think i am a local person. i mean, we do have good things around us, made in singapore! i dont like jack neo sometimes, i think hes overhyped. i think he is one of the local director with so much finacial backing. i dont really like his stuff, his style. its too dramatic for me. but i did enjoy 小孩不笨 alot.
okay, i am doing my part for Mr Bertrand Lee. its really unfortunate. a rising star that has fallen. i am really sad, though i have yet to see his works and all but the clips i saw were really cool. anyways - no piracy kaes. $750000. a lot of money leh.
anyways. sounds embarassing to say - MY BIRTHDAY IS COMING. haha.
what i would like -
a watch - my lao cok cok watch is really lao cok cok. but then i wear my watch three times a year, i think its fine la.
sketchbooks - from bookbinders? gie has character. a little torn at the side, got wet at the end, pages filled.
i like. hows yours doing? but then, i got enough paper to draw for half a year and plenty of little filled sketchbooks. so its okay la.
wallets - dont get me wallets please. i am getting trumatised by the number of new wallets i have. i am a one-thing-woman. i will use one thing all the time till theres need for change. 'cept the sketchbooks, thats based on mood. i like my braun buffel. alot.
shoes/slippers/sandals - namely addidas, havaianas, birkenstock. i would really love the first and third one but seriously, dont waste money. i am good with teva la.
mugs and other nice things - nice things mean really pretty stuff with no real use. that does not include
nightmare before christmas figurines. doesnt include
tofu stuff, but it means soft toys, table display stuff - i dont have a table. i work on my laptop box on my bed. cant display anything on that thing. and no keychains, no mugs, no pretty stuff with no real use.
CD - this is a safest choice, i think. but only Christian CDs can? i have completely no idea who sings what and what sings who. for the last couple of years, the only non Christian CD i got is 五月天. yea. mayday rocks! i dont like noisy stuff. i like casting crowns type. the quieter planet shakers type. ya. you might consider this option. i am trying to get my own CDs so i dont have to burn them. but then if you dont know what kind of music i like, just get one with a nice cover. i like CD covers (:
books - if it's Christian books, maybe you can hold on. i have not finish my
1. purpose driven life (william&jo)
2. discovering God (gerald)
3. mere Christianity
4. witnessing 101 (shu, but i think aunty cheng bought it)
if it's non Christian books, maybe you can hold on too.
but if it's an illustration book - its welcomed anyday. ie. james jarvis. james jarvis. james jarvis. you see, i am trying to own a bit of james jarvis. i dont mind 几米. but he is not my preferred choice. i like chad walker. i feel that emily stuff are too scary and too evil. renee french is too morbid. if you can get the
nightmare before christmas, i will love you all my life. if its photography, i dont really like fashion, i prefer photojournalism. i like don mccullin - heart of darkness. hilhaven lodge. children's books are good. i love them. ben's trumpet. my friend. the red tree. missing piece. meets big O. actually the list right, most of them right, are out of prints, not sold in singapore, limited editions. so dont bother.
magazine - i read idN, some ish, wallpaper* is pretty, erms, no, i dont read 25 most beautiful homes, i kinda like, after influenced by sam and mr lim, realsimple. the ones i read cost pretty much, so never mind la.
bags - ah. i am not a one-bag-woman. different bag, different occasion. remember i mentioned a gorgeous bag that fits A3 from projectshop. wow. thats nice. but it cost a bomb and i wont like you to spend on it.
cameras - anything from DSLR to the lomo. THE FISHEYE*
technology - i know nuts about it. welcomed are thumbdrives, the apple mouse, applecare, erms, a wireless router suitable for the macOSX.
i think i am almost done. actually you can just write me a card and buy an icecream, i will be happy enough. (: really. i long for good company on that day. thats all.
oh. i remembered. all thanks to
mr elijah lim that i got a photo for my dip show tag. thanks dude!
thanks angelene. i am not quite worried about the dip show though. stuff are done up already.
paul's name on my mobile writes - paul ho ho ho. its so cute.
i was singing Christmas carols in the bathroom just now.
oh andrew - if you really decide to drop by, dont let me know who you are. lets remain anonymous. i am scared of meeting people. more so faces i have not seen. (:
i think i am done with this post, if you have read thus far, whoa man, you are good!
(:
i forgot something.
this morning, i was doing a drawing.
i normally draw a girl or boy.
today, i instinctively drew a monster.
haha.
i think i really am a monster.
RAAAA!
(:
